This Most Decorated WAR HORSE in History SERGEANT RECKLESS uncirculated U.S. $2 Bill is Genuine Authentic Legal Tender of the United States, which has been enhanced with beautiful colorized images on top of a new $2 Bill. Sergeant Reckless served in numerous combat actions during the Korean War, carrying supplies and ammunition, and was also used to evacuate the wounded. Learning each supply route after only a couple of trips, she often traveled to deliver supplies to the troops on her own, without benefit of a handler. The highlight of her nine-month military career came in late March 1953 during the Battle of Outpost Vegas when, in a single day, she made 51 solo trips to resupply multiple frontline units. She was wounded in combat twice, given the battlefield rank of corporal in 1953, and then a battlefield promotion to sergeant in 1954, several months after the war ended. She also became the first horse in the Marine Corps known to have participated in amphibious landing, and following the war was awarded two Purple Hearts, a Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal ,was included in her unit's Presidential Unit Citations from two countries, as well as other military honors. Only genuine Legal Tender $2 United States Bills are used for this unique colorization process. Each $2 Bill is in FRESH, CRISP, UNCIRCULATED condition, and was directly removed from untouched wrapped Federal Reserve sealed packs. Former U.S. President Thomas Jefferson is featured on the obverse of the note, along with the special colorization overlay. The Signing of the Declaration of Independence by John Trumbull is featured on the reverse. It is the only U.S. Currency note that features two Presidents, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson, and it is one of the most rarely seen BILLS in circulation and actual use.
